The last week

     THis past week at school has been amazing!!!!! THis group from Colorado called Axis came to the school to speak to us for 3 days. They said we should move from apathy to action and that Ideas have consoquinces. There way of presenting this idea and was shown in many intresting ways through popular music, tv shows, and movie clips. I loved Axis SOOOOO much!!!!   Last week we all wrote Love on are arms to support a christian organization called To Write Love On Her Arms. This is a organization that try to reach out to people who are depressed or cut themself. The idea if you write love on you arm you remember to pray for those people or to write love on those people's arm so they know they are loved. It is a really cool organization.

SCHOOL !!

         
                                                     HIGH SCHOOL HAS STARTED!!!!!
 A few weeks ago the school year started at AACS upper school. We have only had 2 weeks of school. We should have had three weeks of school but because of the "natural disasters" school was repeatedly canceled (a 6.8 earthquake, and later that week Hurricane Irene which knocked out electricity). Hopefully, we are back to normal this coming week coming and have our second whole week of school. I love my teachers and classes even though I am sad about the homework load. I am so HAPPY to be with all my friends again.

AFRICA!!!!!

Just a week ago we came back from our trip to Africa to see Rob and Liz. The church gave us money to go on the trip. It was soooooo much fun!!!!! We played Frisbee, visited the orphaning, went to kigoma, and just hung out. Every night after the kids went to bed we all played up and down the river or watched a Cosby together. This trip I will never ever forget. We made so many memories that we all will cherish forever. I miss Rob and Liz sooo much and cant wait to see them again!!!

Basketball

     I am going to skip way back before Africa and even school starting which it has. I went to an awesome basketball camp at the AACS high school. It was a great camp that taught the fundamentals of the game but in some really fun ways. We had a team that we were on the whole week and we competed with other teams. I was on the Terps and at the end of the week we had a tournament of all the teams and the terps won the whole thing!!!!! I cant wait till next year to do this camp again. I would recommend this camp to anyone who likes basketball or wants to learn how to play the game. I have a lot to blog about like Africa and me being FRESH  MEAT(freshman) !!!!

        These past few weeks have been really AMAZING!!!! As you see in the first picture the middle school and 9th graders from the youth group went to Chick-fil-a for Cow Appreciation Day. If you go to Chick-fil-a and dress like a cow they give you a free meal so we all got dressed up and went. The last few pictures are from our time at Rehoboth Beach with school friends. We had A LOT of fun boogie boarding,  sitting on the beach, playing games, walking on the boardwalk, and just hanging out. It was sooo much fun to be together.

The weeks theme was Jonah

      A few weeks ago (before WSS) i helped with Vacation Bible School aka VBS. I helped with the kindergarten class. The theme for the week was Jonah so all the songs, stories, crafts, and scenery were all about Jonah. I have always loved VBS but I grew to old to attend it. It was soo much fun to come back and experience VBS again. VBS is an AWESOME camp were kids enjoy games, awesome singing, and learning more about the bible in a fun way. I cant wait to help again next year!!!!!

      Last week we went to WWS AKA White Salfure Springs. My dad is the speaker at the camp one week out of the summer. It was SOOO much fun!! Lauren and Heather both came with there family and Abby also came along. Me and Abby had are own room and we had A LOT of fun!! I cant wait until next year!!

SEGWAY

   For my birthday Lauren gave me a groupon to go on a segway tour of Annapolis. IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!!! Lauren was going to go with me but then she found out she was pregnant so I invited Abby. The tour guide was really nice and the segway is the best way to get around. We almost made through the tour without any falls until Abby was cut off by another segwayer and was run of the road. She is fine and we all had a GREAT time.

Goodbye RACHEL! We will miss you

On the far left in the picture is our youth leader Rachel. Rachel has been a close friend and mentored me the 2 years she has been here. Sadly, she is leaving to go back to her home in South Carolina. We are all going to miss Rachel SOOOOOOOOOO much. Rachel has lead the girls in bible studies and is always willing to do something with you. I have spent many Saturdays hanging out with Rachel. Almost every time i would give her a call she would be willing to hang out with me and some friends. Rachel is funny, creative, loving, and someone I look up to as a godly role model and a friend. She has lead me to take my faith seriously and to look up to God when I need help. THANKS RACHEL FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK FOR US!!! I WILL MISS YOU A LOT!!!

looking back to the soggy weekend

we had A LOT of flooding Saturday. We were SOOOOO thankful we weren't sitting in the COLD rain this weekend at college lax games !!!!!!!  THANKFULLY on Sunday , before beloved D-ship we could get out HUGE garden planted !!

 Last week we celebrated at O'Laughlins for ANOTHER great report card, which cassi worked sooo hard at !!

These past weeks have been great. Over Spring Break Nany took me to Disney for our grandparent trip.  and my parents came also. IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!  Lacrosse season has started and I am a CAPTAIN!!! We played Rockbridge who are AACS rivals and we won!! it was a great game but cold. The last picture was a downer. I baked an angel food cake for Rachel Young are youth intern. When I came home from school the cake was covered with ANTS!! I had to bake another cake that turned out great.

     Last Thursday I had my first AACS lacrosse game against key school. Sadly we lost to them but it was still fun. The game was like         -100 degrees  Fahrenheit. I WAS FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I scored once but and the pic of my goal is up top. I made CAPTAIN for the team this year and it is a lot of time. It is now spring break so i am hopping we don't get rusty with are lax skills.  My sister, Lauren helps coach which is fun !!!!!

This has been a GREAT weekend!!! On Friday we didn't have school because it was teacher in service day. Then on Monday we didn't have school because it was presidents day. I had A LOT going on the weekend. On Friday we had the lock in with the whole school!!! We went to a 24 hour fitness place at 10 p.m. and stayed up all night playing games, basketball, swimming, video games, eating, death hack(not violent like it sounds no one dies) and hanging out with friends and then left at 6 a.m. IT WAS SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! 

   On Saturday night after we crashed all day(only living on like 5 hours of sleep) we had r basketball party. this season we had a record of 11 and 3. The team was a really tight knit group of girls so it was sad that it was over. The party was A LOT of fun!!

 Yesterday was Presidents Day so, like i said i didn't have school. In the morning I did A LOT OF HOMEWORK:( One of my friends for school is Allie. She is really nice and a lot of fun and it was her bday so we all went roller blading which was awesome. Later that night we went to the Cheesecake Factory because we finished a puzzle that we started when Rob and Liz came for Christmas( we also had a gift card). The food was amazing!!!

  

Then today we got some snow so we didn't have school again!!!!!!!! THIS WEEKEND HAS BEEN AMAZING!!!!!!
